Grace and Pine River UMF Meeting

You are invited to the Grace UWF Gathering next Thursday, June 5th beginning at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the fellowship hall with Jana Shogren from Bridges of Hope as our guest speaker for the 11:00 program. Our June theme is Making the Commitment: How Are You Living Out Your Faith? We will also be planning for the UWF Bake Sale at the Grace Rummage Sale 6/18-20.

2025 SENIOR SERIES CONCLUDES

This year’s Getting Old Ain’t for Sissies series concluded on May 21 with a presentation/discussion centered around banking fraud and  scams; representatives from First National Bank of Walker lead an educational and informational seminar-style session that was quite helpful.

The 2025 series was funded by a grant from Crow Wing Coop’s Operation Roundup.

Planning for 2026 series will begin soon so put on your thinking caps!

SUMMER LUNCHEON

JULY 16, 12:00 p.m.

Mark your calendars for the Summer Luncheon! This year PRUMC is hosting Tanya Hanson, a Death Doula and Death Educator as our guest speaker. Tanya has twenty years of experience around death and dying and is comfortable in the uncomfortable spaces and conversations around dying and death. This will be a fascinating presentation!

PRUMC ladies who contribute salads, please plan to donate two this year so the number of attendees doesn’t outnumber the cooks and the food! A “salad sign up” sheet and RSVP date will be out at the end of June.

Walking Tacos June 28

    Our Walking Tacos event during Summerfest where we serve tacos outside in front of the church is Saturday, June 28.   Help is needed for set up, serve and cleanup.  There is a signup sheet on the back table in the Sanctuary, please add your name and specify your preference of work time:  9 – 11:30 a.m. to set up and serve and then 11:30 – 2:00 for serve and cleanup.  There’s also a column to help Jerry with outside set up.  Or you can stay all day and enjoy all the fun!

Scripture Lessons:  God in Creation…

Psalm 19:1-6 (NIV)

The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
    night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
    no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
    their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
    It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
    like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens
    and makes its circuit to the other;
    nothing is deprived of its warmth.

 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 1:19-20 NLT

I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. 10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. Philippians 1:9-10  NLT

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.  Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV

Joy of the Month

“Because you are my helper,
    I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.”    Psalm 63:7  NLT
