UWF Meets February 5th

  You are invited to the Grace UWF Gathering on Thursday, February 5th beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall. They will hold their business meeting first, led by Marsha Mower.

  This month’s program, “Connected in Our Roots,” will begin at 11:00 a.m., led by Elaine Leach.    February being Black History Month, some attention will be given to population dislocations that may have resulted from WWII and highlights where seemingly disparate groups have many things in common. Elaine asks you please bring a map of the area where you live, grew up, or family members have lived.

 

Potluck Sunday

We are resuming our monthly themed potluck on a Sunday once a month. Our next potluck will be February 15 after worship.  It will be make your own taco salads.

Lent Season

Pastor Jen will be working through a Lenten sermon series based on the book An Unlikely Lent by Rachel Billups.

 

Pine River UMC will also be doing a Lent study on the book An Unlikely Lent starting Wednesday evening, February 25.  Supper is at 5:45 p.m. and study starts at 6:30 p.m. The study will continue each Wednesday in Lent, March 4, 11, 18, and 25.

 

 

Senior Series 2026

 

 Our first Senior Series is on March 18 from

1 -3 pm  in our fellowship hall with Parker Deutz, Doctor of Physical Therapy who will be talking about learning and maintaining proper adjustment of personal devices and physical safety for the aging body.

Other two topics in April and May will be a speaker from Landsburg Landscape Nursery and another on Naturopathic Medicine with Dr. Sophia Fox, Fox Natural Medicine.  More information to come next month.

I said a prayer for you today and know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke no word.
